A visit from Grandma Annie

Last week Pete's mom came out to see baby Will and help us out.  And what a fun week we had with her!  These kids love their Grandma Annie.  We were able to do so many fun things, and I even snuck in a few naps and a was able to go running without the kids (always a luxury!)

John and Grandma picking peas.

The kids LOVE reading books with their Grandma.  Whenever she would sit down to read with one, you could bet the other two would find their way over before she was finished.

One morning we went to the Matthai Botanical Gardens to walk around and play.  This big rock with all the logs is still John's favorite thing to play with.

On her last day here we went to Silver Lake.  I took a picture of Dan because he insisted on wearing these tall penguin socks with his tennis shoes on this 95 degree day!

It was SO nice to have an extra pair of hands around to keep the kids happy and the house clean.  Mom also took the 3 older ones strawberry/pea picking (with Pete), to the Children's Museum and to the library, which gave me some nice alone time with Will.  We miss you already and can't wait to see you in August!

Grandmas are always so busy on visits now, right?! Little boys keep the house hopping! Hope you are having a great Michigan summer!

Sounds so fun! Does "see you in August" mean you are coming to Utah... maybe even Bear Lake? We will be there and I have always wanted these little cousins who are so close in age to play!
