On Saturday we spent the afternoon and evening at Silver Lake with some friends. Pete helped with a roofing project all morning, so without him it took me about 4 hours to get everything ready to go for the lake... literally... I got stuff ready in between feeding Will, calming crying kids, getting everyone lunch, putting kids down for naps, trying to clean up after myself... wow, going anywhere takes a serious amount of work these days! But it is SO worth it. At the lake we took turns taking the kayak out, had a barbeque, and watched the kids play. I think we all could have stayed there forever! I'm looking forward to many more nights spent at the lake.
