A week after my mom and Andrew were here, my sister and her 2 kids, Kate and Colt, flew up from Dallas to spend a week with us. We hadn't seen them for 10 months (!) so we were thrilled to have them stay with us and for the cousins to get reaquainted. When they came down for breakfast the first morning Joe was wondering who in the world these strange people were in our house and threw his head back and screamed! It took him a little while to calm down and the whole morning to finally smile at my sister :) Funny kid. We had tons of fun going to Jenny's Farm Stand, apple picking, going to the park, celebrating Joe's birthday (which will be in another post), playing with playdough, coloring, and just hanging out. We look forward to seeing them again in a couple months at Christmas! When we left to go to the airport we were joking that after being with each other 24/7 for a week, maybe the kids need a 2 month break from each other. With 5 kids 5 and under it was certainly chaotic at times, but the kids really got along well for the most part. Thanks for making the trip up!
The first morning they were here we walked over to a nearby park.

You can see that Joe still wasn't too sure of his aunt Brittney, who was standing next to me :)

But he warmed right up when she took him and Colt for a ride on the scooter!

The kids took turns going on the scooter together. They would zip down the path so fast! It looked like they were going down a bobsled run.

Jenny's farm market and pumpkin patch.

At Erwin Orchards we did some apple picking, hay riding, goat petting and tricycle riding.

We all enjoyed eating apples straight from the tree. Doesn't get better than that!

Joe didn't want to be a part of the picture and was off to the side making this cute face :)

For family night Brittney made homemade pumpkin doughnuts. Probably the most delicious doughnuts I have ever had. I think everyone averaged about 5 doughnuts, even the kids!

And the kids painted little pumpkins.

My sister is pregnant too, so give it a few months and we'll have 7 kids 5 and under! Might get a little crazy. We miss you already!
