Lil' Joe

Lil' Joe, Jobers, Joey, Joeyoe, Jobs, Jobees, Joe Joe, Joeyoey, Joe Joe's, Joe... we pretty much call Joseph everything except his real name. I like the name Joseph, but there are just too many fun variations. And our little Joe turned 1! Wow, time has sure flown by. Joe likes phones, banging things together, books, looking at photos of himself and his brothers, his binkie, sleeping, taking baths, going for walks, sitting on the trampoline, suckers, fruit loops, bananas and waffles. He DOESN'T like getting his diaper or clothes changed, being put in his carseat, or wrestling with his brothers (yet). He has been such a fun addition to our family, I love having 3 little boys. His birthday lasted about a week, as it seems is becoming a trend for the kids, celebrating with our own little family, extended families, friends... all on different days of course. Here are a few pictures:

Joe and his Grandma Marcum... Grandma brought a few presents over to celebrate before she left for Seattle.

Party #1... had dinner with my brother and his wife and my two sisters who hadn't yet left for Seattle. Our birthday present to him? A bin full of tissue paper. He loved it and we had a family room full of tiny pieces of paper by the end of the night. But it was worth it!

Party #2... dinner with the Jackson side, followed by flashlight hide-and-seek after Joe went to bed. That's becoming a favorite game or ours, John and Dan love it.

And then it was off to Las Vegas! That weekend we drove down for 48 hours to see our new baby niece, Jane (and of course the rest of Pete's brothers family). We watched the kids soccer games, went to their school Fall festival, went swimming, watched a movie in a tent in their backyard, went to church, had a mini party for Joe and played. A short trip, but so worth it!

Party #3... with the Jackson cousins. I love this picture. I think everyone was more excited about the cupcakes than Joe was. He didn't really know what was going on.

The Jackson cousins. We sure had fun with you guys!

I know what to get Greta for her birthday now. TISSUE PAPER. ANY paper, really. Hahaha. She will love it.
