Camping with kids

The day we got back from Bear Lake we headed up to the mountains for a quick camping trip. We left a little later than we had hoped, and Joe was completely exhausted by the time we got there so screamed for 45 minutes while we set up camp... not quite the relaxing, sit-around-the-fire, family time I had in mind. But once Joe (and actually Daniel too) were in bed asleep we had an enjoyable time : ) But everyone slept well (well... except me who slept holding Joe half the night) and was in good spirits by the morning. The boys walked to the river with dad and threw rocks, then played hide and seek in the trees. It ended up being worth it. Then we drove up to Silver Lake and walked around. It was nice to be back with Pete again!
