We have failed

Tonight we were reading scriptures with the kids, and we were reading the part where Nephi sees Mary, the mother of Jesus, in a vision. We asked the kids who Jesus' mom was. Neither of them could remember. It's Mary, we said. We read a little bit more, then turned the page and there was a picture of Mary holding a baby. So we told the kids that that was Mary and asked if they could guess who the baby in her arms was. John looked a little confused (and let's be honest, Daniel wasn't paying attention). We told John we celebrate this person at Christmas... so who's the baby? He got this sneaky little grin on his face and a twinkle in his eye... then blurted out excitedly "SANTA!" Oh boy. We have failed. We know who NOT to put all the stress on this next Christmas!

Haha! That's a funny story! I don't think you have failed though. :)

I think there's still time to redeem yourselves. :)
