4 weeks in St. George
We spent the month of September living in St. George while Pete did a family practice rotation with a doctor in Hurricane. For me and the kids it was a month long vacation! We stayed at the "Mullberry House," Pete's Grandma's vacation home. It was great to have our own place. Instead of posting a million pictures I put up a slideshow, so if you're really bored you can sit and watch it. It definitely wasn't a lonely 4 weeks. My Grandma and 4 of my mom's siblings and their families lived within 5 minutes of where we were staying, so we were able to see them a lot. The first weekend Pete's brother Jon and his family and sister Sarah and Craig came and stayed with us. We went to Zion National Park, the sand dunes and the temple. The next weekend my sister Brittney and her family stayed with us, and we went to Sand Hallow Reservoir. Then during the week my "playgroup friends," Tiffany and Liz came down for a few days. There were 6 kids ages 3 and under, so we had a full house! We went to a few splash pads, played in the irrigation canal in front of the house and took the kids to the Virgin River. Then to finish it off, we drove down to Las Vegas our last weekend and visited Pete's brother Jon and his family where we went to the temple, swam a lot, watched Pete and Jon do a 17-mile bike race up a canyon, and visited Red Canyon. But after such a fun-filled month we were surprisingly ready and excited to get back to our own house. I was especially excited for the cooler weather!
