We woke up Wednesday morning to snow! The kids were overly excited at the sight of it. I had planned to go to the library that morning, but John couldn't wait to get out and play. So after breakfast we got out all the winter clothes, bundled up and headed out. The initial plan was to build a snowman, but the snow wasn't sticky whatsoever, so I ended up pulling all 3 boys around on our sleds for almost an hour. I got my workout in, to say the least. It was so much fun to watch them. Joe got a sled to himself most of the time, he didn't like falling off and needed help getting back on. John and Dan shared the other sled and would fall or jump off and then try to catch up and jump back on. It reminded me of my mom pulling us behind our Suburban on big tubes in empty parking lots after a huge storm. What good memories! For now, 2 sleds being pulled at a walking pace was enough to keep the kids giggling and squealing for an hour.
The kids found the shovels and wanted to help shovel the driveway (all 1 inch of it). Give us 5 or 10 years and these boys will really be able to help out!
