Sock snakes

We do a little preschool with John and 3 other little boys and take turns teaching. This week preschool was at our house, and the lesson was about animals so I decided to have the kids help make some sock snakes. I took some old soccer socks, sewed on some buttons for eyes and a piece of felt for the tongue, then had the kids help fill them with rice and tie the end with a few pieces of string for the rattle. Easy and inexpensive, my kind of craft!
