More Alaska

We took a boat from Homer to Halibut Cove where we stayed in a cabin overlooking the bay for a couple nights. It was an adventure bunking in the one room cabin together with the three little kids, but we sure had a great view! We spent the three days hiking, kayaking, fishing, watching otters and dolphins, and eating smores. I think John enjoyed hiking the best (although we didn't let him try any smores.)

We spent some time on the "Spit" in Homer and stopped for ice cream on our way home at the giant ice cream cone... but to our dismay they were closed. No worries, we ended up getting ice cream further down the street.
